Maurice Jones Jr. is a producer, engineer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, studio designer, acoustician, educator and musical talent development professional.
Over many decades, Maurice has produced 100s of artists. Maurice has distinct expertise developing young talent for a competitive entertainment market as well as producing established musical talent for an ever changing music industry.
Maurice is an accomplished musician who has been a producer, songwriter and professional bassist for many years working and touring with such greats as Peter Gabriel, the Neville Brothers, Arrested Development, the SongCatchers, the Lara Lavi Band, King Youngblood, Tae Phoenix, Edison Jones and many more.
Maurice is also a senior production professional who, over the years has designed numerous high end production studio installations. Maurice’s production skills include studio design, installation and acoustic tuning for production facilities in the United States, Canada, Hong Kong and Jamaica.
One design Maurice is especially proud of was the Liberty Studio built in Toronto Ontario: designed from bare warehouse space into a 6000-square foot multi-purpose audio/video production facility with a budget of $1.6 million USD. Maurice handled all phases of design and AV installation, developed construction schedules and managed all contractors and subcontractors, negotiated all tradesman deals with contractors, resolved investor and client issues on a daily basis, managed system installations and all change orders.
All of Maurice’s projects have come in either on budget or under budget, completed on time within required client schedules.
Maurice’s primary passion is working with musical artists to help them achieve their creative vision for their music, be it a single, an EP, LP, sound track for film/TV/Advertising, or songwriter demo to present to the music publishing world.
Maurice is currently working out of his own studio – The Red Room in North Seattle. The studio is well equipped and fully ready for any size project including a separate drum room, control room, live room and whisper room for vocal and instrumental isolation.

Columbia City Theater & Recording Studio
Managed all aspects of physical operations of the theater. Manage and supervise all recording productions at the theater. Work with teen youth and young adults via Next Step Music Production program. Consult TAF and other youth education organizations to develop music production programs.
WIDEawake Entertainment Group Inc.
Recruited by Canadian Investors to design, build and operate the Liberty Studio in Toronto, Ontario. The facility spanned 6,000 sq. ft. as a state of the art multi-media facility. The facility offered clients a wide range of services including production, production budget planning, contract personnel, composition and arrangements, recording and mixing tools, sound design, video / audio editing, video capture and live and interactive presentations.
Program Director of the Central Area Youth Association’s Multi Media and Performing Arts Center located in the heart of central Seattle. Developed a program targeted for at risk youth, teens susceptible to gang activity and violence, teenage mothers and teens who needed quality programming they could not find in the public schools. The program allowed teens to perform, produce, learn filmmaking, music video making, promote, music business, produce live shows .
